Paper types

15 fully configurable graph paper formats

Each type is built for a specific purpose — from basic coordinate plotting to multi-decade logarithmic analysis.

Cartesian graph paper

Uniform square grid for algebra, geometry, physics labs, and coordinate plotting.

Uniform gridMathematicsLab data

Engineering graph paper

Dual-grid with primary and sub-increment lines in two independent colors.

Dual grid2-colorTechnical

Semi-log graph paper

One linear + one logarithmic axis. For exponential data: bacterial growth, sound levels.

Linear + log1–12 cyclesExponential

Log-log graph paper

Both axes logarithmic. For power-law relationships and data spanning many orders of magnitude.

Log × logPower laws

Isometric graph paper

60° triangular grid for 3D sketches, architecture, and game map design.

Isometric3D drawing

Dot grid paper

Dot grid for bullet journaling, sketching, and note-taking. BuJo favourite.

Dot gridBullet journal

Lined paper

College ruled, wide ruled, and metric rulings with optional margin line.

College ruledWide ruled

Polar graph paper

Concentric circles and radial lines for polar coordinates and trigonometry.

Polar coordsTrig

Hexagonal grid paper

Flat-top and pointy-top hex grids for board game maps and chemistry diagrams.

How it works

Three steps from settings to print

No software. No account. Runs entirely in your browser and produces crisp, vector PDFs.

  1. 1
Choose your paper type and formatSelect from 15 paper types, 5 paper sizes, portrait or landscape.
  2. 2
Set color, grid size, and line weightPick from 10 grid colors, 9 grid sizes (metric and imperial), and 5 line weights.
  3. 3
Click Download PDFThe output is vector-based — perfectly sharp at any print resolution on any printer or plotter.

All PDFs are generated client-side in your browser. No data is uploaded or stored. CustomGraph requires no account and shows no ads.

Graph paper can be printed on standard paper, laminated data-collection stock, or overhead projector transparency film.

Engineering paper supports two independent grid colors — primary and sub-increment — configurable separately.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What types of graph paper can I create?+
CustomGraph supports Cartesian, Engineering, Semi-Log, Log-Log, Isometric, Dot grid, Lined, Polar, Hexagonal, Comic/storyboard, Handwriting, Number line, Perspective, Multiplication charts, and a virtual drawing canvas — 15 types in total.
Is CustomGraph completely free?+
Yes. CustomGraph is free with no account, subscription, or login required. Generate and download as many PDFs as you need at no cost. The site is ad-free and does not collect personal data.
What paper sizes are available?+
CustomGraph supports Letter (8.5×11 in), Legal (8.5×14 in), A3 (297×420 mm), A4 (210×297 mm), and A5 (148×210 mm) — in both portrait and landscape orientations.
What is engineering graph paper?+
Engineering graph paper has two superimposed grids of different densities in two colors: a primary grid of larger squares, and a finer sub-increment grid dividing each major square. Engineers use the dual grid to record data at two levels of precision simultaneously.
When do I use semi-log versus log-log paper?+
Use semi-log when one variable grows exponentially and the other linearly — e.g. bacterial population over time. Use log-log when both variables follow a power-law relationship — e.g. earthquake frequency vs. magnitude, or signal gain vs. frequency in electronics.
