Frequently asked questions

Which type of graph paper should I choose?+
Use square (Cartesian) paper for algebra, geometry and general graphing; engineering paper for technical data; semi-log or log-log paper when data spans several orders of magnitude; isometric paper for 3D sketches; and dot or lined paper for notes and journals.
How do I print graph paper at the exact size?+
Open the PDF and print at 100% or “Actual size”. Turn off “Fit to page” or “Scale to fit” — scaling shrinks the grid, so a 1 cm or ¼ inch square would no longer measure exactly that.
Should I choose A4 or Letter?+
Choose the size of the paper in your printer: A4 (210 × 297 mm) is standard in most countries, Letter (8.5 × 11 in) in the US and Canada. Printing an A4 PDF on Letter paper, or the reverse, forces your printer to scale or crop the page.
Can I use the graph paper for commercial projects?+
Yes. Under our terms of use, PDFs you generate can be used for any lawful purpose, including classroom handouts, commercial projects and publications; you just may not resell them as your own graph paper product unmodified. No account or personal details are needed; the PDF is generated in your browser.
